GHSA-v66g-p9x6-v98p: PhpSpreadsheet has an Unauthenticated Cross-Site-Scripting (XSS) in sample file

### Summary One of the sample scripts in PhpSpreadsheet is susceptible to a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability due to improper handling of input where a number is expected leading to formula injection. ### Details The following [code](https://github.com/PHPOffice/PhpSpreadsheet/blob/d50b8b5de7e30439fb57eae7df9ea90e79fa0f2d/samples/Basic/45_Quadratic_equation_solver.php#L56) in `45_Quadratic_equation_solver.php` concatenates the user supplied parameters directly into spreadsheet formulas. This allows an attacker to take control over the formula and output unsanitized data into the page, resulting in JavaScript execution. ``` $discriminantFormula = '=POWER(' . $_POST['B'] . ',2) - (4 * ' . $_POST['A'] . ' * ' . $_POST['C'] . ')'; $discriminant = Calculation::getInstance()->calculateFormula($discriminantFormula); $r1Formula = '=IMDIV(IMSUM(-' . $_POST['B'] . ',IMSQRT(' . $discriminant . ')),2 * ' . $_POST['A'] . ')'; $r2Formula = '=IF(' . $discriminant . '=0,"Only one root",IMDIV...

ABB Cylon Aspect 3.08.00 syslogSwitch.php Remote Code Execution

ABB Cylon Aspect versions 3.08.00 and below suffer from an authenticated OS command injection vulnerability. This can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands through the SYSLOG HTTP POST parameter called by the syslogSwitch.php script.

ABB Cylon Aspect 3.08.01 caldavUtil.php Remote Code Execution

ABB Cylon Aspect versions 3.08.01 and below suffer from an unauthenticated OS command injection vulnerability. This can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands through the Footer HTTP POST parameter called by the caldavUtil.php script.

ABB Cylon Aspect 3.08.00 setTimeServer.php Remote Code Execution

ABB Cylon Aspect versions 3.08.00 and below suffer from an authenticated OS command injection vulnerability. This can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands through the timeserver HTTP POST parameter called by the setTimeServer.php script.

ABB Cylon Aspect 3.08.01 logYumLookup.php Unauthenticated File Disclosure

ABB Cylon Aspect versions 3.08.01 and below suffer from an unauthenticated arbitrary file disclosure vulnerability. Input passed through the logFile GET parameter via the logYumLookup.php script is not properly verified before being used to download log files. This can be exploited to disclose the contents of arbitrary and sensitive files via directory traversal attacks.

Ubuntu Security Notice USN-7056-1

Ubuntu Security Notice 7056-1 - Multiple security issues were discovered in Firefox. If a user were tricked into opening a specially crafted website, an attacker could potentially exploit these to cause a denial of service, obtain sensitive information across domains, or execute arbitrary code. Masato Kinugawa discovered that Firefox did not properly validate javascript under the "resource://pdf.js" origin. An attacker could potentially exploit this issue to execute arbitrary javascript code and access cross-origin PDF content.

Critical Apache Avro SDK Flaw Allows Remote Code Execution in Java Applications

A critical security flaw has been disclosed in the Apache Avro Java Software Development Kit (SDK) that, if successfully exploited, could allow the execution of arbitrary code on susceptible instances. The flaw, tracked as CVE-2024-47561, impacts all versions of the software prior to 1.11.4. "Schema parsing in the Java SDK of Apache Avro 1.11.3 and previous versions allows bad actors to execute

ABB Cylon Aspect 3.07.02 Authenticated File Disclosure

ABB Cylon Aspect version 3.07.02 suffers from an authenticated arbitrary file disclosure vulnerability. Input passed through the file GET parameter through the downloadDb.php script is not properly verified before being used to download database files. This can be exploited to disclose the contents of arbitrary and sensitive files via directory traversal attacks.

GHSA-q898-frwq-f3qp: Minecraft MOTD Parser's HtmlGenerator vulnerable to XSS

### Summary The `HtmlGenerator` class is subject to potential cross-site scripting (XSS) attack through a parsed malformed Minecraft server MOTD. ### Context Minecraft server owners can set a so-called MOTD (Message of the Day) for their server that appears next to the server icon and below the server name on the multiplayer server list of a player's Minecraft client. The Minecraft server sends the MOTD in the `description` property of the [Status Response](https://wiki.vg/Server_List_Ping#Status_Response) packet. The [jgniecki/MinecraftMotdParser](https://github.com/jgniecki/MinecraftMotdParser) PHP library is able to parse the value of the `description` property, which can be either a string or an array of text components. By utilizing the aforementioned `HtmlGenerator` class, it is also able to transform the value into an HTML string that can be used to visualize the MOTD on a web page. ### Details The `HtmlGenerator` iterates through objects of `MotdItem` that are contained in an...
