GHSA-v427-c49j-8w6x: Cleartext Storage of Sensitive Information in HMAC SHA256 Authentication

### Impact **secretKey**, an important key for HMAC SHA256 authentication, was stored in the database in raw form. If a malicious person somehow had access to the data in the database, they could use the key and secretKey for HMAC SHA256 authentication to send requests impersonating that person. ### Patches Upgrade to Shield v1.0.0-beta.8 or later. After upgrading, all existing secret keys must be encrypted. See https://github.com/codeigniter4/shield/blob/develop/UPGRADING.md for details. ### Workarounds None. ### References - https://codeigniter4.github.io/shield/references/authentication/hmac/ ### For more information If you have any questions or comments about this advisory: * Open an issue or discussion in [codeigniter4/shield](https://github.com/codeigniter4/shield) * Email us at [security@codeigniter.com](mailto:security@codeigniter.com)

GHSA-j72f-h752-mx4w: Insertion of Sensitive Information into Log

### Impact If successful login attempts are recorded, the raw tokens are stored in the log table. If a malicious person somehow views the data in the log table, he or she can obtain a raw token, which can then be used to send a request with that user's authority. When you (1) **use the following authentiactors**, - [AccessTokens](https://codeigniter4.github.io/shield/references/authentication/tokens/) (`tokens`) - [JWT](https://codeigniter4.github.io/shield/addons/jwt/) (`jwt`) - [HmacSha256](https://codeigniter4.github.io/shield/references/authentication/hmac/) (`hmac`) and you (2) **log successful login attempts**, the raw tokens are stored. ### Patches Upgrade to Shield v1.0.0-beta.8 or later. ### Workarounds Disable logging for successful login attempts by the configuration files. - AccessTokens or HmacSha256 - Set `Config\AuthToken::$recordLoginAttempt` to `Auth::RECORD_LOGIN_ATTEMPT_FAILURE` or `Auth::RECORD_LOGIN_ATTEMPT_NONE` - JWT - Set `Config\AuthJWT::$recordLogin...

CVE-2023-30581: Tuesday June 20 2023 Security Releases | Node.js

The use of __proto__ in process.mainModule.__proto__.require() can bypass the policy mechanism and require modules outside of the policy.json definition. This vulnerability affects all users using the experimental policy mechanism in all active release lines: v16, v18 and, v20. Please note that at the time this CVE was issued, the policy is an experimental feature of Node.js

CVE-2023-48107: Heap-buffer-overflow in mz_os.c:71 mz_path_has_slash · Issue #739 · zlib-ng/minizip-ng

Buffer Overflow vulnerability in zlib-ng minizip-ng v.4.0.2 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted file to the mz_path_has_slash function in the mz_os.c file.

CVE-2023-48706: heap-use-after-free in ex_substitute

Vim is a UNIX editor that, prior to version 9.0.2121, has a heap-use-after-free vulnerability. When executing a `:s` command for the very first time and using a sub-replace-special atom inside the substitution part, it is possible that the recursive `:s` call causes free-ing of memory which may later then be accessed by the initial `:s` command. The user must intentionally execute the payload and the whole process is a bit tricky to do since it seems to work only reliably for the very first :s command. It may also cause a crash of Vim. Version 9.0.2121 contains a fix for this issue.

CVE-2023-49102: NZBGet - Download

NZBGet 21.1 allows authenticated remote code execution because the unarchive programs (7za and unrar) preserve executable file permissions. An attacker with the Control capability can execute a file by setting the value of SevenZipCommand or UnrarCmd. NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.

CVE-2023-49146: fix XSS attacks utilizing comments and greedy regex · rhukster/dom-sanitizer@c2a98f2

DOMSanitizer (aka dom-sanitizer) before 1.0.7 allows XSS via an SVG document because of mishandling of comments and greedy regular expressions.

GHSA-cf9f-wmhp-v4pr: Cross-site Scripting potential in custom links, job buttons, and computed fields

### Impact All users of Nautobot versions earlier than 1.6.6 or 2.0.5 are potentially affected. Due to incorrect usage of Django's `mark_safe()` API when rendering certain types of user-authored content, including: - custom links - job buttons - computed fields it is possible that users with permission to create or edit these types of content could craft a malicious payload (such as JavaScript code) that would be executed when rendering pages containing this content. ### Patches _Has the problem been patched? What versions should users upgrade to?_ We have fixed the incorrect uses of `mark_safe()` (generally by replacing them with appropriate use of `format_html()` instead) to prevent such malicious data from being executed. Users on Nautobot 1.6.x LTM should upgrade to v1.6.6 and users on Nautobot 2.0.x should upgrade to v2.0.5. ### Workarounds _Is there a way for users to fix or remediate the vulnerability without upgrading?_ Appropriate object permissions can and should be ...

GHSA-8jjh-j3c2-cjcv: Cross-site Scripting via uploaded assets

### Impact HTML files crafted to look like images may be uploaded regardless of mime validation. This is only applicable on front-end forms using the "Forms" feature containing an assets field, or within the control panel which requires authentication. ### Patches It has been patched on 3.4.15 and 4.36.0.
