Ubuntu Security Notice USN-6026-1

Ubuntu Security Notice 6026-1 - It was discovered that Vim was incorrectly processing Vim buffers. An attacker could possibly use this issue to perform illegal memory access and expose sensitive information. This issue only affected Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. It was discovered that Vim was using freed memory when dealing with regular expressions inside a visual selection. If a user were tricked into opening a specially crafted file, an attacker could crash the application, leading to a denial of service, or possibly achieve code execution with user privileges. This issue only affected Ubuntu 14.04 ESM, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Ubuntu Security Notice USN-6024-1

Ubuntu Security Notice 6024-1 - It was discovered that the Traffic-Control Index implementation in the Linux kernel contained a use-after-free vulnerability. A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code. Lin Ma discovered a race condition in the io_uring subsystem in the Linux kernel, leading to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service.

Ubuntu Security Notice USN-6025-1

Ubuntu Security Notice 6025-1 - It was discovered that the Traffic-Control Index implementation in the Linux kernel contained a use-after-free vulnerability. A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code. It was discovered that the OverlayFS implementation in the Linux kernel did not properly handle copy up operation in some conditions. A local attacker could possibly use this to gain elevated privileges.

Red Hat Security Advisory 2023-1842-01

Red Hat Security Advisory 2023-1842-01 - The curl packages provide the libcurl library and the curl utility for downloading files from servers using various protocols, including HTTP, FTP, and LDAP. Issues addressed include a denial of service vulnerability.

Red Hat Security Advisory 2023-1817-01

Red Hat Security Advisory 2023-1817-01 - Network Observability 1.2.0 is an OpenShift operator that provides a monitoring pipeline to collect and enrich network flows that are produced by the Network observability eBPF agent. The operator provides dashboards, metrics, and keeps flows accessible in a queryable log store, Grafana Loki. When a FlowCollector is deployed, new dashboards are available in the Console. This update contains bug fixes. Issues addressed include a denial of service vulnerability.

CVE-2023-30463: Releases · tass-belgium/picotcp

Altran picoTCP through 1.7.0 allows memory corruption (and subsequent denial of service) because of an integer overflow in pico_ipv6_alloc when processing large ICMPv6 packets. This affects installations with Ethernet support in which a packet size greater than 65495 may occur.

CVE-2023-25619

A CWE-754: Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability exists that could cause denial of service of the controller when communicating over the Modbus TCP protocol.

GHSA-q2qj-628g-vhfw: Insecure header validation in slim/psr7

### Impact An attacker could sneak in a newline (`\n`) into both the header names and values. While the specification states that `\r\n\r\n` is used to terminate the header list, many servers in the wild will also accept `\n\n`. An attacker that is able to control the header names that are passed to Slilm-Psr7 would be able to intentionally craft invalid messages, possibly causing application errors or invalid HTTP requests being sent out with an PSR-18 HTTP client. The latter might present a denial of service vector if a remote service’s web application firewall bans the application due to the receipt of malformed requests. ### Patches The issue is patched in 1.6.1 ### Workarounds In Slim-Psr7 1.6.0 and below, validate HTTP header keys and/or values, and if using user-supplied values, filter them to strip off leading or trailing newline characters before calling withHeader(). ### Acknowledgments We are very grateful to and thank <a href="https://gjcampbell.co.uk/">Graham Campbe...

CVE-2023-30608: Parser contains a regular expression that is vulnerable to ReDOS (Regular Expression Denial of Service)

sqlparse is a non-validating SQL parser module for Python. In affected versions the SQL parser contains a regular expression that is vulnerable to ReDoS (Regular Expression Denial of Service). This issue was introduced by commit `e75e358`. The vulnerability may lead to Denial of Service (DoS). This issues has been fixed in sqlparse 0.4.4 by commit `c457abd5f`. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this issue.
