CVE-2017-14446: TALOS-2017-0495 || Cisco Talos Intelligence Group

An exploitable stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Insteon Hub running firmware version 1012. The HTTP server implementation unsafely extracts parameters from the query string, leading to a buffer overflow on the stack. An attacker can send an HTTP GET request to trigger this vulnerability.

CVE-2017-14445: TALOS-2017-0494 || Cisco Talos Intelligence Group

An exploitable buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Insteon Hub running firmware version 1012. The HTTP server implementation incorrectly handles the host parameter during a firmware update request, leading to a buffer overflow on a global section. An attacker can send an HTTP GET request to trigger this vulnerability.

CVE-2017-14444: TALOS-2017-0493 || Cisco Talos Intelligence Group

An exploitable buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Insteon Hub running firmware version 1012. The HTTP server implementation incorrectly handles the URL parameter during a firmware update request, leading to a buffer overflow on a global section. An attacker can send an HTTP GET request to trigger this vulnerability.

CVE-2017-16343: TALOS-2017-0484 || Cisco Talos Intelligence Group

An attacker could send an authenticated HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability in Insteon Hub running firmware version 1012. At 0x9d01c284 the value for the s_vol_brt_delta key is copied using strcpy to the buffer at 0xa0000510. This buffer is 4 bytes large, sending anything longer will cause a buffer overflow.

Announcing the BlueHat v18 Schedule

Where did the summer go? This year the BlueHat Security Conference moved forward in the schedule to late September. Next year it will settle into a steady orbit of early October moving forward. With that change in schedule, it is hard to believe that it is time to reveal the schedule for BlueHat v18.

CVE-2018-3939: TALOS-2018-0606 || Cisco Talos Intelligence Group

An exploitable use-after-free vulnerability exists in the JavaScript engine of Foxit Software's PDF Reader, version 9.1.0.5096. A specially crafted PDF document can trigger a previously freed object in memory to be reused, resulting in arbitrary code execution. An attacker needs to trick the user to open the malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. If the browser plugin extension is enabled, visiting a malicious site can also trigger the vulnerability.

CVE-2018-3921: TALOS-2018-0585 || Cisco Talos Intelligence Group

A memory corruption vulnerability exists in the PSD-parsing functionality of Computerinsel Photoline 20.54. A specially crafted PSD image processed via the application can lead to a stack overflow, overwriting arbitrary data. An attacker can deliver a PSD image to trigger this vulnerability and gain code execution.

CVE-2018-3922: TALOS-2018-0586 || Cisco Talos Intelligence Group

A memory corruption vulnerability exists in the ANI-parsing functionality of Computerinsel Photoline 20.54. A specially crafted ANI image processed via the application can lead to a stack overflow, overwriting arbitrary data. An attacker can deliver an ANI image to trigger this vulnerability and gain code execution.

CVE-2018-3923: TALOS-2018-0587 || Cisco Talos Intelligence Group

A memory corruption vulnerability exists in the PCX-parsing functionality of Computerinsel Photoline 20.54. A specially crafted PCX image processed via the application can lead to an out-of-bounds write, overwriting arbitrary data. An attacker can deliver a PCX image to trigger this vulnerability and gain code execution.

CVE-2018-1002200: Snyk Vulnerability Database | Snyk

plexus-archiver before 3.6.0 is vulnerable to directory traversal, allowing attackers to write to arbitrary files via a ../ (dot dot slash) in an archive entry that is mishandled during extraction. This vulnerability is also known as 'Zip-Slip'.
