Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in McAfee Network Security Manager (NSM) prior to 10.1 Minor 7 allows a remote authenticated administrator to embed a XSS in the administrator interface via specially crafted custom rules containing HTML. NSM did not correctly sanitize custom rule content in all scenarios.

By displaying a form validity message in the correct location at the same time as a permission prompt (such as for geolocation), the validity message could have obscured the prompt, resulting in the user potentially being tricked into granting the permission. An insufficient verification of data authenticity vulnerability (CWE-345) in the user interface of FortiProxy verison 2.0.3 and below, 1.2.11 and below and FortiGate verison 7.0.0, 6.4.6 and below, 6.2.9 and below of SSL VPN portal may allow a remote, unauthenticated attacker to conduct a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attack . Only SSL VPN in web mode or full mode are impacted by this vulnerability.
