### Impact Instances of Moonraker configured with the `ldap` component enabled are vulnerable to LDAP search filter injection techniques via the login endpoint. The 401 error response message can be used to determine whether or not a search was successful, allowing for brute force methods to discover LDAP entries on the server such as user IDs and user attributes. ### Patches Users should upgrade to Moonraker 0.10.0 which patches this vulnerability. ### Workarounds Admins can set the `max_login_attempts` option in the `[authorization]` section to a reasonable value. Any IP attempting to exploit this vulnerability will be locked out after it has reached the specified number of consecutive failed login attempts. This condition is cleared after a Moonraker restart. Note that if an attacker knows a valid user password they can bypass this protection by successfully logging in. The most secure workaround for users unable to upgrade is to remove the `ldap` section from `moonrak...
Cisco Talos’ Vulnerability Discovery & Research team recently disclosed three vulnerabilities in Foxit PDF Editor, one in the Epic Games Store, and twenty-one in MedDream PACS.. ### Summary After reviewing pyasn1 v0.6.1 a Denial-of-Service issue has been found that leads to memory exhaustion from malformed RELATIVE-OID with excessive continuation octets. ### Details The integer issue can be found in the decoder as `reloid += ((subId << 7) + nextSubId,)`: https://github.com/pyasn1/pyasn1/blob/main/pyasn1/codec/ber/decoder.py#L496 ### PoC For the DoS: ```py import pyasn1.codec.ber.decoder as decoder import pyasn1.type.univ as univ import sys import resource # Deliberately set memory limit to display PoC try: resource.setrlimit(resource.RLIMIT_AS, (100*1024*1024, 100*1024*1024)) print("[*] Memory limit set to 100MB") except: print("[-] Could not set memory limit") # Test with different payload sizes to find the DoS threshold payload_size_mb = int(sys.argv[1]) print(f"[*] Testing with {payload_size_mb}MB payload...") payload_size = payload_size_mb * 1024 * 1024 # Create payload with continuation octets # Each 0x81 byte indicates continuation, ...
Cisco on Thursday released security updates for a maximum-severity security flaw impacting Cisco AsyncOS Software for Cisco Secure Email Gateway and Cisco Secure Email and Web Manager, nearly a month after the company disclosed that it had been exploited as a zero-day by a China-nexus advanced persistent threat (APT) actor codenamed UAT-9686. The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2025-20393 (CVSS
Improper input validation in Windows LDAP - Lightweight Directory Access Protocol allows an authorized attacker to perform tampering over a network.
The Invisible Half of the Identity Universe Identity used to live in one place - an LDAP directory, an HR system, a single IAM portal. Not anymore. Today, identity is fragmented across SaaS, on-prem, IaaS, PaaS, home-grown, and shadow applications. Each of these environments carries its own accounts, permissions, and authentication flows. Traditional IAM and IGA tools govern only the nearly
Fortinet on Wednesday said it observed "recent abuse" of a five-year-old security flaw in FortiOS SSL VPN in the wild under certain configurations. The vulnerability in question is CVE-2020-12812 (CVSS score: 5.2), an improper authentication vulnerability in SSL VPN in FortiOS that could allow a user to log in successfully without being prompted for the second factor of authentication if the
A flaw was found in the Keycloak LDAP User Federation provider. This vulnerability allows an authenticated realm administrator to trigger deserialization of untrusted Java objects via a malicious LDAP server configuration. ### Mitigation Disable LDAP referrals in all LDAP user providers in all realms if projects cannot upgrade to the patched versions.
