Today, a group of eight researchers from across the security industry released a research report on SHA-1 that demonstrates for the first time, a “hash collision” for the full SHA-1 hash algorithm (called “SHAttered”). This is a significant step toward understanding this type of security issue, a milestone in cryptanalysis that has been underway for the past decade.

A remote out of bound write / memory corruption vulnerability exists in the PDF parsing functionality of Nitro Pro 10.5.9.9. A specially crafted PDF file can cause a vulnerability resulting in potential memory corruption. An attacker can send the victim a specific PDF file to trigger this vulnerability.

crypto/algif_skcipher.c in the Linux kernel before 4.4.2 does not verify that a setkey operation has been performed on an AF_ALG socket before an accept system call is processed, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and system crash) via a crafted application that does not supply a key, related to the lrw_crypt function in crypto/lrw.c.
