Google Wins Lawsuit Against Russians Linked to Blockchain-based Glupteba Botnet

CVE-2022-34667: Security Bulletin: NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit - October 2022

NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit SDK contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in cuobjdump, where an unprivileged remote attacker could exploit this buffer overflow condition by persuading a local user to download a specially crafted corrupted file and execute cuobjdump against it locally, which may lead to a limited denial of service and some loss of data integrity for the local user.

CVE-2022-30256: a small open-source DNS server

An issue was discovered in MaraDNS Deadwood through 3.5.0021 that allows variant V1 of unintended domain name resolution. A revoked domain name can still be resolvable for a long time, including expired domains and taken-down malicious domains. The effects of an exploit would be widespread and highly impactful, because the exploitation conforms to de facto DNS specifications and operational practices, and overcomes current mitigation patches for "Ghost" domain names.

CVE-2022-31694: InstallBuilder 22.10.0 released

InstallBuilder Qt installers built with versions previous to 22.10 try to load DLLs from the installer binary parent directory when displaying popups. This may allow an attacker to plant a malicious DLL in the installer parent directory to allow executing code with the privileges of the installer (when the popup triggers the loading of the library). Exploiting these type of vulnerabilities generally require that an attacker has access to a vulnerable machine to plant the malicious DLL.
