CVE-2016-10894: #830726 - xtrlock: CVE-2016-10894: xtrlock does not block multitouch events

xtrlock through 2.10 does not block multitouch events. Consequently, an attacker at a locked screen can send input to (and thus control) various programs such as Chromium via events such as pan scrolling, "pinch and zoom" gestures, or even regular mouse clicks (by depressing the touchpad once and then clicking with a different finger).

CVE-2018-20961

In the Linux kernel before 4.16.4, a double free vulnerability in the f_midi_set_alt function of drivers/usb/gadget/function/f_midi.c in the f_midi driver may allow attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact.

CVE-2019-5607

In FreeBSD 12.0-STABLE before r350222, 12.0-RELEASE before 12.0-RELEASE-p8, 11.3-STABLE before r350223, 11.3-RELEASE before 11.3-RELEASE-p1, and 11.2-RELEASE before 11.2-RELEASE-p12, rights transmitted over a domain socket did not properly release a reference on transmission error allowing a malicious user to cause the reference counter to wrap, forcing a free event. This could allow a malicious local user to gain root privileges or escape from a jail.

CVE-2019-5606

In FreeBSD 12.0-STABLE before r349805, 12.0-RELEASE before 12.0-RELEASE-p8, 11.3-STABLE before r349806, 11.3-RELEASE before 11.3-RELEASE-p1, and 11.2-RELEASE before 11.2-RELEASE-p12, code which handles close of a descriptor created by posix_openpt fails to undo a signal configuration. This causes an incorrect signal to be raised leading to a write after free of kernel memory allowing a malicious user to gain root privileges or escape a jail.

CVE-2019-11840

An issue was discovered in supplementary Go cryptography libraries, aka golang-googlecode-go-crypto, before 2019-03-20. A flaw was found in the amd64 implementation of golang.org/x/crypto/salsa20 and golang.org/x/crypto/salsa20/salsa. If more than 256 GiB of keystream is generated, or if the counter otherwise grows greater than 32 bits, the amd64 implementation will first generate incorrect output, and then cycle back to previously generated keystream. Repeated keystream bytes can lead to loss of confidentiality in encryption applications, or to predictability in CSPRNG applications.

CVE-2018-16866

An out of bounds read was discovered in systemd-journald in the way it parses log messages that terminate with a colon ':'. A local attacker can use this flaw to disclose process memory data. Versions from v221 to v239 are vulnerable.

CVE-2018-14379: security - Type confusion in MP4v2 2.0.0

MP4Atom::factory in mp4atom.cpp in MP4v2 2.0.0 incorrectly uses the MP4ItemAtom data type in a certain case where MP4DataAtom is required, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted MP4 file, because access to the data structure has different expectations about layout as a result of this type confusion.

Analysis and mitigation of speculative store bypass (CVE-2018-3639)

In January, 2018, Microsoft published an advisory and security updates for a new class of hardware vulnerabilities involving speculative execution side channels (known as Spectre and Meltdown). In this blog post, we will provide a technical analysis of an additional subclass of speculative execution side channel vulnerability known as Speculative Store Bypass (SSB) which has been assigned CVE-2018-3639.

CVE-2017-2840: TALOS-2017-0342 || Cisco Talos Intelligence Group

A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the ISO parsing functionality of EZB Systems UltraISO 9.6.6.3300. A specially crafted .ISO file can cause a vulnerability resulting in potential code execution. An attacker can provide a specific .ISO file to trigger this vulnerability.
